Thanks to a strong Russian‑speaking community in Massachusetts, for many years Boston has been a must‑visit destination for Russian‑speaking artists touring abroad. Many artists have left Russia and continue to enjoy the support of their fans living in different countries.
While some shows that run without translation (for example, theater performances) may be suitable only for native speakers or learners with an advanced proficiency in the Russian language, music concerts can be enjoyed by almost everyone. You can prepare for a concert by translating the lyrics in advance and listening to the songs on Spotify or YouTube.
2026 has already started with an amazing show by the legendary Russian‑speaking band БИ‑2, who performed in Boston on January 3, 2026.
Here is your calendar of upcoming shows in Boston. These concerts and performances are a great way to hear real, living Russian, enjoy music and theater, and feel part of a wider cultural community.
To help our adult students and friends of Root and Affix connect with Russian culture beyond the textbook, we’ve highlighted several upcoming events listed on Afisha Boston.
